“As I understand it, Poroshenko no longer sees the need for this debate. Most likely, he realizes that it is impossible to outplay Zelensky, and the debate can only increase the anti-PR campaign. At the moment, the proposed meeting format is unprofitable for him. On the one hand, this inability to meet in any of the days of frustrating, it would be interesting to look at the debate. But I think that both Zelensky and Poroshenko decided to outsmart their voters and in fact to disrupt the meeting with such a beautiful maneuver, ”the expert believes.
According to him, the acting head of state, most likely, was not against the debates in the studio, “understanding that there he could somehow play against Zelensky.”

Yes, there were many beautiful statements, but the stadium is exactly for Zelensky. But for Poroshenko there was a big risk of being booed. And this would be a huge blow to the current president.
