Choi Sun-sil, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the court case, submitted an appeal against the appeal decision.

As a result, the Supreme Court is expected to overturn the final judgment on Samsung Bribery, a core allegation.

Choi is reported to have submitted an appeal to the High Court of Seoul through an attorney today (May 28).

On October 24, the Fourth Division of the Seoul High Court sentenced Choi to 20 years in prison and a fine of 20 billion won.

The penalty is two billion won more than the first.

The court ruled that the former president Park Geun-hye and Choi's consent to the contest, and that the money paid to Samsung's gifted sports gifted player was a bribe.

It is the judgment of the court that there was a comprehensive issue of Samsung's succession as Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, and that this vice chairman made an unlawful request to Park.

Choi's attorney Lee Kyung-jae, a lawyer, said, "The prosecutors and prosecutors have accused the masses of public opinion, indicted them with self-righteous, self-righteous and sophisticated methods, and handed the second-degree prosecutors hands after the first."

The lawyer said, "The fact that the president of the large corporations made an implicit request to former President Park also said," We will make a lot of innocent people (sinners) if the impeachment is expanded without any reasonable and thorough constraints. I rebuffed.

In the Supreme Court trial, the issue of whether the succession of Lee Jae-yong's vice-chairman in relation to the bribery of the Samsung Group existed as a group issue, and whether there was an explicit or implicit request for it, will be considered as key issues.

Ahn Jong-bum, a former Chong Wa Dae spokesperson, has also filed an appeal today, accusing Choi of being an accomplice and bribery charges.

He was sentenced to five years in prison and a penalty of 60 million won.

The prosecution has not yet appealed, but the appeal period is until the 31st of this month.
