The queen continues her last journey.

The coffin of Elizabeth II left Edinburgh Cathedral on Tuesday for the airport from where it will begin the last part of its journey to London, under the emotional gaze of a crowd gathered to bid farewell to the deceased sovereign Thursday at age 96.

The remains, escorted by Princess Anne, will be boarded a royal plane and welcomed to the British capital by King Charles and other members of the royal family, before spending the night at Buckingham Palace.
