According to the official Weibo news from the Beijing Health and Medical Commission, from 09:00 to 24:00 on March 9, one newly confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia was reported in Beijing, which was an imported case from the United Kingdom. Nine suspected cases were newly reported, of which 7 were imported overseas; 19 were in close contact, of which 17 were imported overseas. Five discharged patients were cured and discharged from two designated hospitals in the urban area. Among them were 1 male and 4 females, the youngest was 28 years old and the oldest was 68 years old.

As of 24:00 on March 9th, a total of 429 confirmed cases, 320 discharged cases and 8 dead cases were cured. There are 36 suspected cases. A total of 3650 close contacts have been identified, of which 467 are still in isolation medical observation. 14 confirmed cases in the Middle East, 53 in Xicheng District, 72 in Chaoyang District, 63 in Haidian District, 43 in Fengtai District, 14 in Shijingshan District, 3 in Mentougou, 16 in Fangshan District, 19 in Tongzhou District, and 10 in Shunyi District There were 29 cases in Changping District, 39 cases in Daxing District, 7 cases in Huairou District, 7 cases in Miyun District, and 1 case in Yanqing District. There were no cases in Pinggu District, 25 cases came from outside of Beijing, and 14 cases were imported abroad.

There have been no new confirmed cases in 12 districts in the city for more than 14 consecutive days, specifically no reported cases in Pinggu District since the outbreak, Yanqing District for 46 days, Mentougou District for 36 days, Huairou District for 32 days, Shunyi District for 30 days, and Miyun District. 27 days, 25 days in Shijingshan District, 25 days in Daxing, 22 days in Fangshan District, 21 days in Changping District, 19 days in Xicheng District, and 19 days in Tongzhou District.

Of the 429 confirmed cases, 205 were male cases, accounting for 47.8%, and 224 were female cases, accounting for 52.2%. The age range was 6 months to 94 years, of which 14 were under 5 years, accounting for 3.3%, and 6 to 17 years old. 14 cases, accounting for 3.3%, 290 cases aged 18 to 59, accounting for 67.6%, 111 cases aged 60 and above, accounting for 25.8%.
