Already on his fourth Prime Minister, Larry the Cat posted his photo in front of the kingdom's most famous black door, revealing an "anecdote": "The King asked me to become Prime Minister because this nonsense went on too long. ", he wrote.

The satirical profile of the tabby, who became the Kingdom's "first cat" when Theresa May took office, also anticipated events with a message: "Liz Truss resigns as soon as we can get her out from under the desk."

Known for posting vitriolic tweets about current political happenings in the UK, the government's "Chief Mouser" Twitter message immediately went viral.

And to think that it was he who welcomed Truss as she was present, always posing in front of the door and strictly in favor of cameras and lenses, on the day of farewell of Boris Johnson who had dedicated a passage of his speech to him: "I'm just telling my party that if Dilyn (Johnson's dog) and Larry can leave their occasional troubles behind, then the Conservative party can too."
