Hamburg (dpa / lno) - When it comes to the weather, the new year in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein begins the same way the old one ends: with lots of clouds.
On New Year's Eve, it remains largely dry despite the heavy cloud cover, as a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Thursday.
There is a weak wind - moderate to fresh at the seaside - from the southwest.
The DWD expects maximum temperatures of a maximum of four degrees.
On the heavily overcast New Year's Eve, especially in the second half of the night, there are snow pebbles or light drizzle. The temperatures drop to minus one degree, so that there is widespread danger of a smooth New Year's morning. The DWD also expects a lot of clouds on New Year's Day, only on the coast it occasionally loosens. The maximum values are up to two degrees.
