As of 18:00 local time on March 10th, a total of 10,149 confirmed cases of New Coronary Pneumonia in Italy, an increase of 977 cases over the previous day. Among them, there were 8,514 cases of new coronary pneumonia (877 cases of critically ill patients); a total of 1,004 people were cured; 168 new deaths, and 631 deaths.
Italian Prime Minister Conte issued a televised speech on the evening of the 9th, announcing the implementation of "cities closure" across the country, and also announced a series of preventive measures such as the suspension of all Serie A and other sports events.
