According to Jérémy Lefebvre, entrepreneur and co-founder of "Hearing France", an internet platform to participate in the big debate, young people are much more concerned about ecology than the rest of the contributors.

INTERVIEW

For four months, about 1.5 million French participated in the great national debate launched in January by the President of the Republic in response to the anger of the "yellow vests". While most of them took part in local meetings, written on the grievance book or went through the official website, 365,000 people, 70% of whom were under 35 years old, went through Entendre la France, a platform launched on Facebook.

Among these young people, as among the contributors of the official site, there is a mistrust vis-à-vis the State. "People who have been contributing tell us that they no longer trust the state's ability to do their job effectively and economically." Three-quarters of respondents support reducing the number of parliamentarians, 85 percent want to review the functioning of public administrations and services, "says Jérémy Lefebvre, co-founder of" Hear France ".

The other subject that comes up in the contributions of users of the platform is ecology. "It's something that comes out very strongly especially from the younger generation, and they want to make it a priority."
