"Unfortunately, we did not receive a detailed justification, that is, we do not know what exactly caused the (restriction of retransmission of the RTVI.- RT channel ), but there is Facebook one of the members of the National Council, where it is clear that we have two claims. The first concerns serials and films that are on our air. In Ukraine there is a constantly updated list of banned Russian films, serials and actors ... The second reason for me as the chief editor is much more important. We are told that we give the floor to people who propagandize the overthrow of the constitutional order in Ukraine. We have a very tough and firm editorial position. The slogan of our channel is "On both sides." We always provide all points of view, including the point of view of official Kiev on the events concerning Ukraine. Unfortunately, in this case, I see that the National Council does not want to see any points of view on the air, except for its own, "noted Pivovarov.

According to him, disabling the channel is disrespect to the audience and to the right of the audience to choose from.

"To date, RTVI in Ukraine shows more than 100 operators, tens of thousands of people watch our TV channel. And, in my opinion, disabling the channel is disrespect in the first place to the audience and the right of the audience to choose, "he said.

The editor-in-chief of the television channel RTVI also called censorship restrictions on the retransmission of the television channel.

"I think, of course, attempts to restrict freedom of speech ... I insist that what happens on RTVI, for which I am responsible, is freedom of speech, of course, this (restriction of retransmission of the RTVI.- RT channel ) is censorship. I am still confident that our Ukrainian spectator will find the opportunity to stay with us, for example, in digital, where we can watch where Ukraine is among the top three largest audiences, "he concluded.

Earlier, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting temporarily limited the retransmission of the Russian-language television channel RTVI. This was stated by the representative of the regulator Sergei Kostinsky.
