NATO Allies have agreed to increase the number of patrol missions in the Baltic Sea following the Balticconnector accident. This is stated in a message on the website of the alliance.


"NATO and Allies are stepping up patrols in the Baltic Sea following the recent accident on undersea infrastructure in the region," the statement said.

It is noted that NATO will organize additional reconnaissance and observation flights using aircraft, minesweepers and drones.
