How to reduce the costs of locum doctors in the Örebro County region

At today's meeting of the region's Health and Medical Care Committee, the decision was not only made to save 10% on administration. Work is also continuing to reduce cost in the healthcare itself, with several proposals that will now become more concrete. One of the proposals is to reduce the costs of locum physicians by SEK 50 million per year, from the current more than SEK 186 million peryear.

The healthcare sector's efforts to reduce costs are continuing. One task they are continuing to work on is reducing costs for locum doctors – a task that is "a difficult challenge" according to the Director of Health and Medical Services.
