By carrying out airstrikes on Syrian airports, Israel has grossly violated Syrian sovereignty and the basic norms of international law. Such actions against the backdrop of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict are extremely dangerous, they can provoke an armed escalation throughout the region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"Once again, the targets of attacks were such important civilian infrastructure in Syria as airports. Thus, the lives of innocent people and the safety of international air traffic were exposed to a real threat," the ministry said.
