UN: Guterres sent a letter to Putin to extend the grain deal

This was announced by the representative of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric.

"As part of ongoing efforts in this direction, the Secretary General sent a letter yesterday to Russian President Vladimir Putin, outlining a proposal aimed at improving the implementation of the memorandum of understanding in order to preserve the Black Sea Initiative," TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Putin had made a number of proposals regarding the grain deal.
