SC initiated a case after an explosion at a plant in the Leningrad region

The investigative committee opened a criminal case after the explosion and subsequent fire at the plant "Polyplast" in the Leningrad region, as a result of which four people were injured.


This is reported on the website of the SU IC of Russia in the region.

“A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime, under Part 1 of Art. 217 of the Criminal Code of Russia "Violation of safety rules at explosive objects," - said the agency.

According to the UK, three victims were hospitalized, another was examined by doctors on the spot and released in a satisfactory condition.

The operative-investigation team, as well as forensic investigators, went to the scene.

Earlier it was reported that the explosion at the plant occurred due to a violation of safety during the work.

In December 2018, URA.RU reported that the Electrozinc plant in Vladikavkaz would completely cease operations in the spring of 2019 due to a fire.
