Member of the Emergency Committee Alexander Tizyakov died

A member of the Emergency Committee, a former director of the Kalinin Machine-Building Plant (MZiK), Alexander Tizyakov, died at the age of 92 years. This was reported in the City Hall of Yekaterinburg.


"The leaders of Yekaterinburg express condolences to relatives and friends in connection with the death of the former director of the Kalinin Machine-Building Plant Alexander Tizyakov," - said in a statement.

Tizyakov worked at MZiK from 1956 to 1991.

Under his leadership, the company created and put into service more than 20 types of anti-aircraft missile systems, including the S-300V anti-aircraft missile system.

In 1988, Tizyakov headed the Association of State Enterprises and Industrial, Construction, Transport and Communications of the USSR, and then became Vice-President of the Industrial Union of the USSR.

Earlier it was reported that the vice-president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the rector of the South-Russian State Polytechnic University Vladimir Perederius died at the age of 59 years.
