“We went up the smoke-filled stairs to the server room”: Ministry of Internal Affairs officers tracked the terrorists using cameras from the burning Crocus

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, said that police officers helped identify the car in which the suspects in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack fled.

She noted that the police chief of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnogorsk urban district, police colonel Maxim Myagkov, and his deputy, police lieutenant colonel Dmitry Novikov, arrived at the scene of the incident.

“They immediately went to the server room. Before the fire spread, it was necessary to seize the video recordings that showed the suspects in the terrorist attack and their route of movement,” she emphasized.

According to her, after breaking the door to the premises, the police, together with officers of the Russian FSB, looked at the video materials and identified the car in which the alleged terrorists fled.

“Thanks to the information transmitted to the operational headquarters, it was possible to establish the route of movement of the suspects and subsequently detain them,” the message says.

As it became known earlier, after committing a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, the criminals, hiding in a car, drove along the highway towards Ukraine at a speed exceeding 140 km/h.

The terrorists were detained in the Bryansk region. The operation involved military personnel from the group covering the state border of the Russian Federation, including soldiers of the Akhmat regiment. They were awarded state awards - medals “For Courage” and medals of the Russian Ministry of Defense “For Military Distinction”.

The detained terrorists - Dalerjon Mirzoev, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, Fariduni Shamsidin and Muhammadsobir Fayzov - were placed in custody until May 22.

Later, four more people were arrested who, according to investigators, were involved in a criminal group. Also, until May 22, brothers Isroil and Dilovar Islomov, as well as their father Aminchon, were taken into custody. Another person involved in the case was entrepreneur Alisher Kasimov, who, as RT found out, worked in a cafe and was engaged in delivering food to Moscow construction sites.

The Investigative Committee of Russia stated that an analysis is being carried out on the use of the Internet by the accused to plan and commit a crime, and information seized from various technical devices that were in their use is also being studied.

At the same time, the department intends to consider an appeal from State Duma deputies and public figures regarding the need to investigate the organization, financing and conduct of terrorist acts by the United States and other Western countries directed against Russia.

Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on measures taken after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, stated that the crime was committed by radical Islamists. At the same time, the United States of America, through various channels, is trying to convince its satellites and other countries of the world that there is supposedly no Kyiv trace in the Moscow terrorist attack.

“Why did the terrorists try to go to Ukraine after committing the crime? Who was waiting for them there? It is clear that those who support the Kiev regime do not want to be accomplices in terror and sponsors of terrorism. But there are really a lot of questions,” he said.

According to the latest data, the number of deaths in the terrorist attack has reached 143. This follows from the list of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, which is adjusted based on the results of forensic research.

At the same time, the Investigative Committee received 143 applications from victims about the disappearance of their relatives or friends as a result of the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall.

“Of these, 84 bodies have been identified so far, including the bodies of five children aged nine to 16 years. In order to establish the identities of the remaining victims, molecular genetic examinations are being carried out,” the Investigative Committee said in its publication.

The day before, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko noted that 80 victims, including six children, remained in hospitals at federal medical centers and hospitals in Moscow and the Moscow region. Of these, four patients are in critical condition, another 19 people, including three children, are in moderate condition.

“According to operational data, 205 victims received outpatient care. 76 victims have already been discharged from hospitals under the supervision of doctors. Another 23 victims are completing hospital treatment and are preparing for discharge,” TASS quoted him as saying.
