“We are shocked and deeply outraged by the publication by the South Korean English-language newspaper The Korea Herald in its March 27 issue of a cartoon insulting the memory of the victims of a heinous terrorist attack,” the statement said.

The diplomatic mission called the publication blasphemous and suggested that the editors would try to “hide behind the principle of freedom of speech.”

“Then doesn’t the newspaper intend to laugh at the victims of other terrorist attacks and tragedies? Or nasty jokes of this kind are reserved only for Russia and its citizens,” the embassy added.

Earlier, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that the death toll from the terrorist attack at Crocus had reached 140.

On March 26, rescue workers officially reported to the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, that there were no more victims under the rubble of Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region.
