Middle school students from Incheon area went to Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, and were arrested by the police on charges of assaulting high school students.
The Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon announced today (4th) that it had booked two middle school students, including Army A, without detention on charges of joint assault.
Group A and others are accused of assaulting two high school students, including Army B, on the roadside in Simgok-dong, Bucheon-si at 8:10 pm on the 21st of last month.
They found out that group C, a classmate from the same school, requested help from group B, saying, "I am being bullied by group A," and went to Bucheon, about 40 km away from Incheon.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident by analyzing closed circuit (CC) TV around the scene.
While the education authorities are investigating the assault damage related to Group B, etc., they responded to a request from a middle school in District C to hold a school violence countermeasure committee.
An education authority official said, "The education offices that have jurisdiction over Bucheon and Incheon will take charge of assault and harassment cases against groups B and C, respectively.
