Liverpool have taken over Manchester City's standings by beating FC Fulham. At least for a few hours. During the afternoon, City receives the city rivals United (17.30 clock, live ticker SPIEGEL ONLINE). The goals for Jürgen Klopp's team were scored by Mohamed Salah (41 minutes) and Xherdan Shaqiri (53 minutes).

In fact, the ball hit Liverpool's Alisson on 41 minutes, but Aleksandar Mitrovic was apparently offside on his header. Difficult decision that the guests from Fulham wondered for too long. Alisson had already played the ball shortly after the throw-off, and Trent Alexander-Arnold did not hesitate long on the right to score for the starting Salah, who then headed for Gonzalez's goal for goalkeeper Sergio Rico nine seconds after the throw-off 1: 0 inserted.

In the second half, Shaquiri was particularly impressive, as he cleared the left half-field in the penalty area with a 30-meter cross from Robertson and volleyed into the corner. Bottom-of-the-table Fulham had to blame himself for not taking advantage of the chances Ryan Sessegnon (24) and André Schürrle (29) had made, especially in the first half.
