RB Leipzig beat FC Bayern 3: 0 (1: 0) against Bayer Leverkusen from third place. Yussuf Poulsen (27th, 85th minute) and Lukas Klostermann (68th) scored for the home side. Because Düsseldorf and Stuttgart were able to win yesterday, the guests have only three points clear of the relegation zone after the sixth defeat of the season.

After the spectacular conclusion of the Bundesliga Saturday with the 3: 2 victory of the Dortmund against Bayern, Leipzig and Leverkusen were rather calm. So it was almost logical that a deflected cross from Timo Werner for the first chance scored (11). A little later, however, Werner was allowed to withdraw without Leverkusen intervention (13). Keeper Lukas Hrádecky was the only one left with his fingertips.

As the ball then landed in the 27th minute actually in the gate, Poulsen had to interrupt his jubilation because an assistant wanted to have recognized an offside position. A little later, the Leipzig was then allowed to celebrate for his lifter over the rushing Hrádecky. The best chance of the guests had Kai Havertz, when he narrowly missed the RB goal in the 37th minute from twelve meters. It was the second shot on goal of Leverkusen.

In any case, the performance of the guests after rowdy victories in Bremen (6: 2) and in the Cup in Gladbach (5: 0) and a 1: 4 home defeat against Hoffenheim again raised the question of the condition of this individually strong squad on the team even in half two against the best defense of the league offensively accomplished little. But as Bayer also defensively defensive, also defender Klostermann (68) came to his first goal of the season, before Poulsen (85) put to 3: 0.
