With two late goals, Manchester United beat JuventusJosé Mourinho in the Champions League and significantly increased their chances of reaching the last sixteen. A free-kick from Juan Mata (86 ') and an own-goal by Alex Sandro (90') turned the game into the final phase in favor of the guests from Manchester. Cristiano Ronaldo had led Juventus into the middle of the second half.

For half an hour, the defensive concept of Manchester coach José Mourinho seemed to work out - for a shot at one of the two goals, the audience waited in vain. Then, however, the differences between the two teams became clear. Again and again Juventus leveraged the defense with clever passports, mostly then Miralem Pjanic was involved. Manchester's defense stumbled from one embarrassment to the next - and was very fortunate: Sami Khedira scored after submission of Cristiano Ronaldo only the post (35.). It should not be the only aluminum hit by Juventus.

The first few minutes of the second half then compensated for the restrained first. Manchester United also played suddenly, Anthony Martial scored from 18 meters just over - it was the first serious scoring of the guests (48). Two minutes later, Manchester were fortunate that Paulo Dybala scored only the crossbar.

Of Turin Ronaldo and Manchester Paul Pogba, who met each evening on their former club, was until then, little to see. In the case of the Portuguese, that should change. Ronaldo had scored his last goal in the Champions League for Real Madrid - against Juventus. This was followed by five games, 389 minutes and 15 shots on goal without success. Until the 65th minute of this evening in Turin: Leonardo Bonucci played a magic pass that Ronaldo took directly from the air - 1-0.

When Manchester coach José Mourinho made a three-goal change in the 79th minute, hardly anyone expected that would affect the outcome. But Mourinho proved a lucky touch: First hit Juan Mata, one of the Joker, free-kick (86.). Then headed Marouane Fellaini, Joker number two, Bonucci faked off and Alex Sandro hit his own net.

Juventus are still first in Group H with nine points, but they are almost certain that they will be adjourned in the last sixteen. Manchester United has seven points and has all chances to progress as second in the table.
