Former Egyptian star Mohamed Aboutrika denounced the Israeli occupation bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, while his compatriot Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's English top scorer, donated to those affected by the continuous Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, and the French football star and one of the legends of the former Manchester United team, Eric Cantona, expressed his support for Palestine.

Aboutrika said on the platform "Threads" condemning the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation bombing Baptist Hospital in Gaza, "a new genocide committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza will be ignored by the hypocritical world."

Aboutrika called on the Palestinian people in Gaza, saying, "Oh God, we heal those around us, our strength and our management around you, your strength and your management, there is no god but you, nothing fails you, and you are capable of everything, Oh God, we do not have for our people in Palestine except to pray, O God, protect them by preserving them, support them, and let down all those who failed them."

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of victims of the Israeli shelling that targeted the yard of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza had risen to 500 martyrs, most of them women and children.

Cantona: Free Palestine

Cantona posted on his official Instagram account a post in which he said: "Defending the human rights of Palestinians does not mean that you are a supporter of Hamas, saying 'Palestine is free' does not mean that you are anti-Semitic or 'you want all Jews to leave', calling this chant means that Palestinians are free from the Israeli occupation that has been robbing them of their basic human rights for 75 years."

Cantona said the slogan "Free Palestine" meant stopping the extermination of the 2.3 million Palestinians living in the world's largest open-air prison, half of them children, and ending the apartheid imposed by the Israeli government, while giving Palestinians control of basic infrastructure on their land.

Cantona shared his wife, actress Rachida Brakni, with the same sympathy for the Palestinians.

The former French star is known for his stances in support of the Palestinian cause, and has previously denounced the Israeli occupation on more than one occasion.

Donate Salah

In practical response to the campaign against him for not supporting Palestine or condemning the continued Israeli bombardment of civilians in Gaza in any way, Mohamed Salah donated to those affected by Israel's war on Gaza.

He has been controversial about his lack of reaction to events in Gaza, especially after the attack he suffered after a large number of world stars announced their support for Palestine.

The director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, Rami al-Nazer, told the local press that Rami Abbas, Salah's agent, contacted the association to make the financial donation, the value of which he declined to disclose.
