'Legendary kick is passed down'

England came from behind to beat Japan at the Rugby World Cup in France. In this match as well, a kick from George Ford created one chance after another, which led to a goal.

In the first match against Argentina, Ford scored all of the team's goals with kicks, including a brilliant drop goal.

After the Japan match, he revealed that he had been taught kicking by a certain person.

That person is the legend Jonny Wilkinson, who led England to the only Northern Hemisphere team in World Cup history.

In the 2003 final against Australia, Wilkinson scored a drop goal with his non-dominant right foot with just a little time left in extra time to give England the title.

That scene is a famous scene that is still talked about today.

Wilkinson, such a "kicking legend," often visits England's camp and teaches different types of kicking to Ford and fellow standoff captains Owen Farrell and Marcus Smith.

"Don't worry about the post when you're trying to score."

Ford said that he received this kind of guidance ...

: "You have to know where the post is, but I've learned that you can only control where you put the ball and your body, and it's a great honour to have him teach you.

The decisive winner of the Japan race was a try from Ford's exquisite kick pass.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game, but I'm glad we won," Ford said.

The England national team has inherited the "legendary kick".

With their kicks, they won two consecutive matches in the first round and aim to win their second title.

Boswick HC: "The players did well"

England head coach Steve Bosewick said: "The players did really well. Japan have developed proper tactics and played like no other team in the World Cup does. Under such circumstances, we were able to achieve results. Today's Japan has been very smart and played in a different way. There were some unexpected plays, such as kicks behind the defensive line, and it was a tough match for us Japan."
