Glenn Nyberg, Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist are the refereeing team that has had another big match to referee. On Wednesday, they step out at the Allianz Arena to kick off the big meeting between Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Martin Ingvarsson, elite referee coach at SvFF, heaps praise on Glenn Nyberg.

"Glenn has a huge potential, it's been a huge year for him. Now it's just a matter of continuing to show why the team should have these games. But Glenn is so serious that he takes it one game at a time. It will be exciting to see how they approach the assignment.

May referee new big match

On June 10, Glenn Nyberg and his team refereed the U20 World Cup final in Argentina. Just a week later, the Swedish team Nyberg/Beigi/Söderkvist, the next big game, got the third place match in the Nations League playoffs, the Netherlands against Italy.

Now another big match awaits.

"All games are equally important, but now they are well-known teams, so it's a feather in his cap of course, a sign that he's done something good," says Ingvarsson.

In addition to the trio, Adam Ladebäck is also selected as fourth judge. In the VAR room there are colleagues from the Netherlands and Spain.

The Swedish referees are not allowed to give interviews in connection with international matches.
