The Danxia Mountain in early autumn is picturesque, and the Yuedan Highway is like a dream. Professional athletes and cycling enthusiasts from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hainan and other places, as well as Sweden, Spain, Japan and other parts of the world, can feel the beautiful ecological environment and nature of Danxia Mountain in speed and passion, experience the unique Lingnan style and pastoral scenery, and share the achievements of ecological construction in Shaoguan.
In order to allow the runners to have a better experience of the race, the organizing committee set the track on Yuedan Road, the most beautiful tourist highway in Guangdong. The Yuedan Highway surrounds the World Natural Heritage, Global Geopark, and National AAAAA Tourist Scenic Spot Danxia Mountain, passing through the core scenic spot of Danxia Mountain. The total length of the track is 68 kilometers, and the route connects many scenic spots such as Danxia and Yangyuanshan on the water, passing through many ancient villages such as Xiafu Ancient Village and Guzhuping Village. Cycling in the green mountains and green waters, it is like a wonderful picture of "the car walking in the scenery, and the people swimming in the painting".
According to reports, the event is divided into six groups: men's open group (68 kilometers), women's open group (38 kilometers), men's middle-aged group (38 kilometers), men's local group (38 kilometers), cycling challenge group (38 kilometers), and cycling experience group (20 kilometers), starting from the south gate of Danxia Mountain and ending at the main gate of Danxia Mountain. The Cycling Experience Group (20 km) ends at the Dazhongmen Visitor Center.
The event attracted Meridano Feike China Team, Jichi-Ruibao Racing, GUSTO SUPERTEAM China Team, Changsha Clockwise Racing Team (SSZ), Pingtan International Tourism Island BROSS Women's Power Team, Bigrock Dashi Mei Riding Factory Team, Lingrui Pharmaceutical Women's Power Team, NEZA Women's Team, Shaoguan Merida Racing Team and other well-known teams to participate.
It is reported that the Tour of Danxia Mountain Cycling Race is an important measure for Shaoguan City to deeply implement the national national fitness strategy, explore the path to realize the value of ecological resources, and promote the integrated development of sports + tourism. Next, Shaoguan will also hold a series of events such as the 50-kilometer walking race through Danxia Mountain and the Danxia Mountain Marathon, making every effort to build the brand of "outdoor sports paradise".
After intense and fierce competition, Huo He, Huang Shaodong and Chen Xiaobao won the 38km men's local champion and runner-up, Chen Xiangyuan, Zhang Jianguo and Zhao Yingjun won the 38km men's middle-aged champion and runner-up, Ma Yucai, Li Si and He Chong won the 38km women's open champion and runner-up, and Xu Zhaoliang, Zhang Weiyi and Viteli Novakovsky won the 68km men's open champion and runner-up.
