Today, Friday, the International Federation of Football "FIFA" published a summary report on the international transfers of players for the period between June 1 and September 1, 2023.

According to the report, transfer fees broke all previous records, amounting to $ 7 billion and $ 360 million in the mid-2023 registration period, an increase of 47.2% over the mid-2022 registration period, and 26.8% from the previous record recorded in mid-2019.

England was on the throne of international transfers in the registration period for mid-2023, with transfer fees of $ 1.98 billion, the number of purchase transactions 449 and sales 514.

Germany ranked first in terms of income from transfer fees ($1.11 billion), the first time that profits from clubs belonging to one national association exceeded the $<> billion threshold in this period.

The Saudi Professional League ranked second in terms of spending with a total value of $875.4 million, ahead of France ($859.7 million), Germany ($762.4 million), Italy ($711 million) and Spain ($405.6 million).

The report pointed out that the fees of players' agents reached unprecedented heights, reaching $ 697 million during the mid-year registration period, with a total of $ 853 million throughout 2023, recording an increase of 36.9% over the total fees for the whole of 2022, and more than any other year of previous years.

As a result, AFC clubs accounted for 14% of total international transfer expenses, marking the first time that clubs from a confederation from outside Europe have accounted for more than 10% of the total.

Last July, the Saudi Professional League announced the launch of "the transformation strategy for the Saudi league and enhancing its competitiveness and presence at the global level, to be among the 10 strongest in the world, stressing that it has begun implementing a number of development programs to advance in the list of the strongest leagues in the world."
