Much was at stake when the final matches of Group B were played on Monday. Australia, Canada and Nigeria all had a chance to advance to the eighth finals.

Host nation Australia had to win against Canada to advance. And the Australians got off to a dream start to the match.

1–0 after VAR review

Already in the ninth minute, Hayley Raso sent in 1–0, but the goal was waved off for offside. However, after a VAR review, the goal was cleared and Australia's lead was a fact.

Barely 30 minutes later, it was again time for a VAR referee, but that time Australia's goal was not approved. However, Raso was able to give the host nation cause to cheer, as she became the two-goal scorer a few minutes before the half-time break.

Nigeria also further

In the second half, Mary Fowler made it 3–0 from close range and in stoppage time Steph Catley set up the final score (4–0) from the penalty spot. Great joy for the host nation, with Swedish coaches Tony Gustavsson and Jens Fjellström in the leadership staff.

The match between Ireland and Nigeria ended 0–0, which means that the latter are ready for the playoffs. Once there, Nigeria will face the winner of Group D and Australia will face the runners-up from the same group.
