The asset of the Russian weightlifters are two gold medals, which were won by Artem Okulov and Tatyana Kashirina. This world championship was the first for the Russian national team, after serving the disqualification of the Russian Weightlifting Federation (FTAR) for massive violations by athletes of anti-doping rules.
The Chinese team won the team event - seven gold, eight silver and four bronze medals. The national team of Thailand became the second - three gold and three bronze. The top three was closed by the Iranian team - two gold and one bronze.
