Sharjah's leading club has extended its influence over the Arab Gulf Football Championships for the month of October, after the expiration of the voting period.

Brazilian striker Wilton Suarez won the month's Player of the Year award by a narrow margin ahead of Al Nasr, Spain's Alvaro Negredo, who came second, while Brazilian club Fernando Gabriel was third.

Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani beat his brother Ali, who finished the vote in second place while Al Ahly's Dubai goalkeeper Majid Nasser finished third.

Sharjah coach Abdulaziz Al Anbari won the coach's second month in a row, beating the victory coach Ivan Jovanovic, who was second in the voting while his national coach Fauq Razovic was third.

The winners will receive their prizes in the tenth round of the Gulf Arab League.

The list of candidates for each month includes three names in each category, chosen according to statistics.
