The Portland Trail Blazers, with 40 points from CJ McCollum, outshot the Milwaukee Bucks 118-103 in the main game on Tuesday night's North American Basketball Championship (NBA).

McCollum had a good success rate by returning 17 of his 26 shots to two points and half of his attempts to 3 points (5/10). The Trail Blazers, third in the Western Conference, beat the Eastern Conference Bucks, their second loss this season, in 10 games.

"This is a big win for us," said McCollum, the hero of the night, who scored 19 points in the only third quarter, when his team dug the lead to lead 91-77 to the start of the last quarter while the Bucks had pretty much resisted until then.

"I just tried to be aggressive," said the man of the match, well supported by Evan Turner (16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists). The 27-year-old, who had a tough start this season, added six assists and five rebounds to his 40 points.

Strong Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was again the best player on the team with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Charlotte, with a Kemba Walker at 29 points and 7 assists, made the decision in the second half of the match. Teammates Tony Parker were indeed still behind the score at halftime (51-54).
