Mike Di Meglio, a former MotoGP rider, announced on Thursday that he will be taking part in the FIM Enel MotoE 2019 World Cup with the Marc VDS team. He is one of 18 drivers on new electric bikes.

Sacred world champion 125 in 2008, Mike Di Meglio (30 years old) will compete in the five races in the program of this World Cup which will start with the Spanish Grand Prix on May 5, 2019 and will continue in France (May 19), in Germany (7 July), Austria (11 August) and San Marino (14-15 September).

The Toulousain said he was "happy and proud to join the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Marc VDS team next year to participate in the new FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. I have always dreamed of working with this team. Its results make it one of the references in the paddock of the Grands Prix.
