His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, has appointed the Honorary President of the Football Association to form a supreme committee to support the national football team, headed by Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, (Vice-Chairmen) to support the team during their upcoming participation in the Asian Cup in the UAE as of January.
The Football Association said on its official website that the committee will oversee the national team in the coming period and provide the required support and provide all elements of success for him, preparing to participate in the finals of the Asian Cup «UAE 2019».
The formation of the committee to provide all the reasons for the success of the team and facilitate its mission in the Asian Championship.
An executive committee of the national team was also formed, headed by the vice president of the football federation, Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, and members of Hisham Al-Zarouni, Rashid Al Zaabi, Hassan Abdul Wahab, members of the Federation's board of directors, Secretary General of the Football Federation Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam, Dr. Hassan Suhail, And Abdullah Ali Al-Shamsi, members of the Committee of Teams and Technical Affairs of the Football Federation.
The team will play in the Asian Cup in Group A alongside the teams of Bahrain, India and Thailand, starting his career in the championship against his brother the Bahraini team on January 5 at the opening meeting at Zayed Sports City Stadium, while facing the second round of the Indian team on the tenth of the same month At the Zayed Sports Stadium, to face his Thai team in the third round January 14 at the stadium Hazza bin Zayed in Al Ain.
