French handballers beat Denmark (22-20) on Wednesday in Oslo in the Golden League, one week before the start of the Euro in France.

Les Bleues produced 45 good minutes which allowed them to lead 20 to 14, then they preserved a small advantage despite a slump in the last quarter of an hour. It was the winger Manon Houette who scored the last two goals of the victory.

The world champions are in Norway to make the final adjustments before the opening match of Euro 2018 next Thursday in Nancy against Russia, gold medalist in Rio.

Coach Olivier Krumbholz has turned his squad using executives such as Allison Pineau, Grace Zaadi and Alexandra Lacrabère, as well as less experienced players such as goalkeeper Catherine Gabriel and winger Pauline Coatanéa.

The Blue sent a message to the Danes, candidates for the podium of the Euro, who had beaten during the previous stage of the Golden League in late September in Denmark.

France will face Hungary on Saturday and finish Sunday's Golden League with a match against Norway, the team she dominated last year's World Cup final.
