The paddocks were the scene of an unusual scene in Formula 1. Verstappen (Red Bull) was very up after his collision with Ocon on the 43rd lap. The Dutchman was not able to take off and, while Ocon was waiting for his weigh-in, he went to let the French know. The two men scrambled, which did not please the race commissioners. The latter decided to summon the two protagonists.

Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Racing Point Force India) were summoned by the race marshals on Sunday to explain the incident that took place after the end of Brazil's F1 GP in Sao Paulo.

Furious to have been hit in the 43rd round by Ocon while he was in the lead, an incident that probably deprived him of the victory, Verstappen, 2nd at the finish behind the Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), confronted physically the Frenchman, who was waiting his turn at the weigh-in.

The Dutchman pushed Ocon several times but the two men did not really come to blows in an incident that lasted less than 20 seconds.

They were summoned to explain about a potential violation of the FIA's sports code.
