World number one Novak Djokovic has announced the cancellation of the match in which he will face second seed Rafael Nadal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on December 22 for the King Salman Cup.

Djokovic was forced to cancel the match after Nadal apologized for the injury due to an injury to his right ankle that required surgery.

The injury, in the absence of Nadal, resulted in the Paris Masters' session in France and his apology for participating in the final tournament in London, scheduled for 11-18 of this month.

The cancellation of the game between Djokovic and Nadal ended the controversy surrounding her stay in Saudi Arabia because of the repercussions of the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in his consulate in Turkey.
