The Minister of Community Development, Hessa Bint Isa Buhamaid, won the second edition of the Dubai Women's Triathlon, which was organized by the Women's Sports Committee at the Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with the Dubai Women's Club. Triathlon participated in 324 contestants of different nationalities and ages, which comes in conjunction with Dubai Challenge Dubai.

Dubai Sports Council Secretary General, Saeed Hareb, Chairman of Dubai Women's Foundation and Managing Director Mona Ghanim Al Marri, Board Member of the Dubai Sports Council, Chairperson of the Women's Committee, Moza Al Marri and many other dignitaries attended the event.

The ceremony began with the honoring of the participants in the race: Darin Berber, Sheikha Al Shaibah and the Ministry of Community Development. Sheikha Wafa bint Hashar Al Maktoum received the best female player award and the award was received by Sheikh Saeed bin Hashr bin Maktoum Al Maktoum.

The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) team won first place in the Super Sprint category, followed by the Dubai Municipality team. Dubai Municipality was ranked first in the Super Sprint category, while second place was Wei Moma Bebez.

In the same category for singles from 16 to 29 years, Jocelyn Priya won first place, topped by a class of 30 years and over, Kate Turney. In the Sprint category, Helen O'Neill won the singles category from 16 to 29, and in the singles category of 30 years and above, came in first place for Lian Carson. In the team competition came the first team «Czechs» Tri ».

In the Olympic competition, Lotti Lucas was in the singles category from 16 to 29 years.

In the category of 30 years and above, she won first place in the derby of Cassie.

The Organizing Committee honored the Dubai Municipality team with the award of the best participating institution in terms of the number of female players. Al-Jalila Foundation, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance were also honored for their efforts in making the race a success.

Hessa bint Essa Bouhamid presented a special tribute to Lebanese sportsman Darine Berber, the ambassador of the triathlon this year, and Shaikha Al Shaibah, the influential Bahraini sportswoman by means of social communication.

She expressed her pleasure to participate in the triathlon, stressing in press statements the importance of sport for human health and fitness, and praised the continuous support provided by our leadership to Emirati women in all sectors, including the sports sector.
