Before the approach of Typhoon No. 10 which may cause serious damage, there are movements to evacuate residents out of the island as soon as possible on remote islands in Kagoshima prefecture.

Of these, Mishima Village is planning to evacuate approximately 50 desired residents to Kagoshima City using a village-run ship on the 4th night.



According to the village, this is the first time for a typhoon to do this.



Mishima Village is a village consisting of three islands 100 to 150 kilometers away from Kagoshima City, with a population of 389 as of last month.



In addition, Toshima Village is requesting the SDF to dispatch helicopters so that about 200 people can evacuate outside the island.



In Toshima Village, there are 7 islands scattered between Amami Oshima and Yakushima, and as of March, 688 people are living.
