Shimane Matsue September 4th 13:17: Preparation for landing fishing boats by approaching Typhoon No. 10

In preparation for the approach of Typhoon No. 10, along the coast of Nakaumi, which straddles Shimane and Tottori prefectures, we are working on landing fishing boats so that they will not be damaged by waves or wind.

Seiji Nomi, who has been fishing for more than 15 years at Shimoubeo Fishing Port in Nakaumi, Mihonoseki-cho, Matsue City, carried out the work of landing a ship in preparation for the approach of Typhoon No. 10.

Mr. Nomi was pulling a boat used for takotsubo fishing with a rope, put it on a log placed on the ground, pulled it up to the land on the boat, and fixed it at the port.

After this, other ships were also moved to the back of the bay so that they would not be damaged by the waves and wind, and the anchor was lowered.

“I rarely land a ship because of a typhoon, but this time I decided to land early as judged by the route and size of the typhoon,” said Nomi.
