Eight young people were sentenced on Thursday in Paris to sentences of up to eight years in prison by the juvenile assize court, for their involvement in the violent attack on young Yuriy on January 15, 2021 on the slab of Beaugrenelle, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.Eight young people were sentenced on Thursday in Paris to up to eight years in prison by the juvenile court, for their involvement in the violent attack on young Yuriy in 2021 which had shone a spotlight on the phenomenon of violence between rival gangs. The heaviest sentence was handed down to a 21-year-old man, who was of age at the time of the incident, and was found guilty of attempted murder for striking the teenager on the head with a hammer on January 15, 2021 on the Beaugrenelle slab in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
