Speaking on this topic in a short address to the nation, the head of the Israeli government stressed that the IDF intends to fight until victory. His statement is quoted by RIA Novosti.
"We will not abandon the war until we have achieved all its goals – the complete elimination of Hamas and the release of all our hostages. The choice I offer Hamas is very simple: surrender or die," he said, adding that they "have no other choice and will not have any other choice."
Netanyahu added that after the elimination of Hamas, he would "work as hard as he can" to eliminate any threat to Israel that might come from Gaza.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the expansion of the combat zone to the center of the Palestinian enclave.
