With the strengthening of measures to address the aging of the population and the declining birthrate, social security expenditures will increase by 110 billion yen from the initial budget for this fiscal year to 2.37 trillion yen, and defense expenditures, excluding funds allocated for strengthening future defense capabilities, will increase by 7200.8500 trillion yen to 7.9200 trillion yen.

In addition, the amount of JGBs to be used for the redemption and interest payments of JGBs issued so far will increase by 1.1300 trillion yen to 1.7600 trillion yen, reflecting the rise in long-term interest rates.

On the other hand, in addition to the regular contingency fund, the contingency fund for dealing with soaring prices, which was 27 trillion yen in the initial budget for this fiscal year, will be reduced by 100 trillion yen to 5 trillion yen.

In terms of revenues, tax revenues are expected to be 4.1 trillion yen, which is almost the same amount as the forecast for this fiscal year, but the shortfall of 69.6100 trillion yen even with the addition of non-tax revenues is planned to be covered by the issuance of new government bonds, and the fiscal situation is expected to remain severe, relying on government bonds for more than 34% of its financial resources.
