This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Yashar Guler.

Güler noted that Turkey "responsibly and impartially implements the Montreux Convention on the Straits, which ensures balance in the Black Sea."

"We plan to hold a signing ceremony in Istanbul on January 11, 2024 with the participation of the defense ministers of the three countries," TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov said that a storm in the Black Sea could dispel the minefields that the Ukrainian military had set.
