This Saturday, Elisabeth Borne once again invoked Article 49.3 of the Constitution to have the entire text of the "revenue" part of the draft 2024 budget adopted without a vote in a new reading in the Assembly. LFI immediately announced a new motion of censure.

Just a few minutes after the rejection of a motion of censure and the adoption of the "revenue" part of the 2024 draft budget, Élisabeth Borne again appealed on Saturday to Article 49.3 of the Constitution, to have the entire text adopted without a vote in the new reading in the Assembly.

"We cannot do without a budget," said the Prime Minister to justify the 22nd recourse to this constitutional provision since her arrival in Matignon, just minutes after the rejection of a motion of censure defended by La France Insoumise, which won only 75 votes out of the 289 needed to bring down the government. LFI immediately announced a new motion of censure.
