The author and host of the program, Pyotr Volgin, said that before that, the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Delyan Peevsky, and the Embassy of Ukraine demanded not to broadcast the ambassador's interview.

"We are law-abiding people and are forced to comply with this decision," TASS quoted him as saying.

Volgin added that in the interview, Mitrofanova spoke about freedom of speech, the fate of the monument to the Soviet Army, the situation in Ukraine, and also touched upon other topical topics.

Earlier, Bulgaria revoked the accreditation of Rossiyskaya Gazeta journalist Alexander Gatsak due to suspicion of espionage.
