Al Jazeera obtained exclusive images showing the moment the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), handed over 11 Israeli detainees and 6 Thais to the Red Cross in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday evening.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the list of 11 detainees released this evening includes two mothers and 9 children.

This is the fourth batch of Israeli detainees to be released from Gaza under the humanitarian truce reached by Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip, under Qatari-Egyptian-American mediation, which took effect last Friday.

Qatari mediation succeeded in extending the truce agreement for an additional two days to include the daily release of 10 Israeli detainees in Gaza, women and children, in exchange for 30 women and children prisoners in Israeli prisons.
