The ongoing weather with snowfall and strong winds has probably already contributed to four traffic accidents on the E4 outside Hudiksvall on Monday evening. The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a yellow gale warning in the southern Bothnian Sea, with wind speeds of between 15-20 metres per second on Monday. The wind is expected to pick up until Tuesday, with winds of between 18 and 24 meters per second.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) issues warnings according to a three-point colour scale when the weather is expected to affect society. The yellow warning is the weakest of the warnings and is expected to have consequences for society and some risks to the public.
