"We are working on it, the initiative has been made... We hope that, in general, the situation with the release of hostages and the evacuation of Russian citizens, who have recently had the opportunity to leave this territory in significant but insufficient numbers, to come to Russia, that this work will yield new results," TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia positively assessed Hamas' goodwill gesture to release the hostage with a Russian passport.
