As the correspondent notes, it was all about camouflage: the group used a smoke screen, after which the attack aircraft occupied a key forest belt with two strongholds.
The enemy retreated without even accepting the battle. The military notes that in recent weeks this has been the usual behavior of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Their artillery has become weaker, and they rarely conduct even basic reconnaissance in combat," the military said.
The Marines also congratulated their colleagues on Marine Corps Day, paying tribute to veterans and recalling their motto: "Where we are, there is victory."
As it became known earlier, assault units of marine brigades of the Baltic and Pacific fleets near Vuhledar captured a forest belt with two strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
