"Tonight, 39 Palestinian civilians will be released and 13 Israeli hostages and seven foreigners will leave Gaza," Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, Channel 13 of Israeli television, citing a source, reported that the Israel Defense Forces could resume operations in the Gaza Strip if Hamas does not release the hostages by midnight.

Later, Hamas agreed to continue to adhere to the agreement on the exchange of prisoners with Israel.
