The commission "will discuss a bill concerning the protocol on Sweden's accession to NATO," the statement said.

On October 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan submitted to parliament a protocol on Sweden's accession to NATO.

The document was signed by the Speaker of the Parliament, Numan Kurtulmuş, and submitted to the Foreign Affairs Committee.

At the same time, on October 18, the Turkish Motherland Party called for rejecting the ratification of Sweden's membership in NATO. The party's leader, Doğu Perincek, argued that Turkey should show determination to oppose the strategy of expanding the alliance to the east.

The Kremlin noted that Moscow will develop relations with Ankara, despite the differences.
